Hello and thank you for visiting my website.

My name is Scott Krause; I am the Director of Instruction at Eagle Ridge in Gilroy Ca.

I am also the Northern California Teacher of the Year. I have been a Class A member of the PGA since 1993.


Why do I have a website?
My goal as a golf instructor has always been not only to make golfers better at how to play golf, but to have more fun playing the game. Golf is fun when you are getting better.

This is a game that no one has ever perfected not even Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus. But that doesn’t mean we won’t try. I have given lessons to people who have played golf their whole life. One gentleman who had played for over 50 years and he still wanted to get better.

That is the attraction of golf; we are always striving to get a little better than the last time we played. When you visit this website I will help you with not only how to swing the club but also how to think when you play or practice. What are the right clubs for you to buy, from your driver to your putter, (I have been a club fitter as long as a golf instructor). I will also advise you on the right type ball that will fit your game.

I have a golf library of over 280 golf books and growing. When I finish one I start another. Some are over 100 years old; believe it or not there are some things in those books, that's been written about today.
I want to understand how the golf swing has evolved from then up to today.

I want to have five different ways to say the same thing, this way people with different learning styles will connect to what I am saying. So I hope you will visit often. I will be updating and adding new things constantly. As I said earlier, golf is more fun when you’re improving my website is designed to give you the tools to do just that.
